When I moved to Connecticut, I began paying bills by mail. One day near the end of August, I wished I had some address labels to use -- specifically, I wished that some nonprofit interested in making me a member of their tree-hugging, wolf-and-polar-bear-loving, oily-seal-saving organization would send me free address labels.
About a week after saying this aloud to myself, at home, I started getting address labels in the mail. From just about every environmentalist and save-the-children organization out there.
Coincidence?
Or conspiracy?
You decide.
