New word: Marthastewartize

v. 1. To add to a functional item something that makes it seem "cheery," "crafty," more troublesome or otherwise Martha-Stewart approvable; 2. to revise a nonfunctional item such that it becomes "cute," "kitschy," or unintentional "camp"; 3. to turn a functional person into a stress-zombie focused only on creating "the perfect holiday centerpiece."

1) Pretty much every day this week has felt like a 7-8 kitten day.

2) Thanksfully, your blog is worth 3-4 kittens most days. You get an extra kitten for using the quantifiable living measurements in your actual article. It's definitely worth a kitten to know that the phrase "Trenton, N.J., which is the absolutely most dissatisfying place on the planet" is somewhere out there in print.

3) The word they want me to type for verification is "prizates." I'm not sure if it makes me laugh or makes me feel uncomfortable.

4) I need a mix list - songs to run away to (I'm thinking Sinatra's "Come Fly With Me," Lenny Kravitz's "Fly Away," etc. - though the transportation need not be limited to planes. In fact, train and car trips are welcome. Not the bus, though.) Have you done such a list?
